You can find the workshops in the Signallabor like this: Take the lift or the stairs to the 2nd floor. From the lift turn into the right (resp. from the stairs into the left) hallway. At the shelf with the media-historical artifacts turn into the left hallway. At its end you'll find the Signallabor (Room 2.26) on the right side.
